The Midnight Circus who hosts the Circus in the Parks in Chicago, IL ordered this Circus tent with the Chicago Park District. Armbruster built this tent on a extremely tight schedule. Having a long history of making custom tents, Armbruster designed this tent from the ground up. Fully engineered to 90 mph wind rating, this tent was built with the highest quality materials and fabrics. Particular details included: Premium Ferrari coated PVC fabrics imported from Europe. Fabric Enclosure for Space Capsule Supplier

Armbruster was contracted to design and fabricate an large custom enclosure to solve a critical problem for ATK Mission Systems, a supplier of space capsules.Problem: Particles and dust from a routing machine which cuts the through hulls for space capsule modules was getting outside the containment box and potentially contaminating the rest of the facility.Solution: Encapsulate the entire box with a frame and fabric enclosure to contain the dust.Challenges: Frame and cover needed to be 32ft wide x 50ft tall x 96ft long. Cover also had to be removable quickly and separate in the middle. This would allow for inserting large capsules through the top of the box if needed as well as the end.End product was a enclosure that Armbruster worked closely with on site engineers...

Recently Armbruster was awarded the contract to build a one of a kind Circus Tent for the Midnight Circus who performs in Chicago, Illinois. Armbruster worked close at hand with the Midnight Circus designing an elegant, long lasting, unique Circus Tent for their acts. The Chicago Park District then ordered their tent to be used for year round shows in parks around the City.Armbruster has an interesting History with Circus tents, since that's how Armbruster got into the tent making business. We started in 1875 manufacturing Wagon covers, tarpalins, canvas pillows, and awnings. Around 1890 a circus came to Springfield, IL and needed a new circus tent made. During World War II, Armbruster manufactured many styles and variations of tents to support the war effort, including tens of thousands of WWII canvas shelter halves.  In our factory archives, we have a few remaining original 1942 dated shelter halves that demonstrate the original OD#3 colored canvas and other production details that were required of these wartime tents. Today Armbruster is reproducing larger World War II canvas tents on many of the same machines that were used in the 1940s.
