Armbruster WWII Tents at Camp Patriot

Camp Patriot set up at the Marin Sonoma Concours d’Elegance May 2012 by CW4 Bundgaard.

This event is an annual event and raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Hospice By The Bay and Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties.

CW4 “Chief” Bundgaard is on a Mission to tell the proud story of our American Military through a one of a kind display. “Chief” has been working diligently with Armbruster the last few years to put together a tented military display which represents all 5 military services in military tentage from each time period dating from the 1860s to the present.  He begins the timeline with early pup style shelter halve tents from each period, all original.  Then the display transitions into larger tents built by Armbruster off original military specifications.  These include a 1942 Command Tent, 1942 Small Wall Tent Fly, and a World War I Wall Supply Tent used for showing original military projector films.

Armbruster builds period tents of all eras, but we are proud that Chief Bundgaard has chosen our military canvas tents to use in his CAMP PATRIOT display and consistently gets recognition for his work.

Behring who also noted: “You’ve done a great job with your “Living History Program” and it was fun to see so many kids stopping by your [camp].”  Mr. Behring comes with credentials: President of “Wheelchair Foundation” a division of “Global Health and Education Foundation”.
